With the weather finally getting a lot cooler we decided to head down to Ras al khor to spot some seasonal birds.
Ras Al Khor Wildlife Sanctuary was declared as the first Ramsar site in UAE on 29th August,2007
Ramsar convention is an intergovernmental treaty that provides framework for national action an international cooperation for conservation and use of wetlands .
How to get there?
You can follow GPS location that takes you straight to the viewing point.
Free Parking is available outside near the entrance.
No entrance fees. No prior booking required.
Timings:
October to March 0730am-0530pm
April to September 0600am- 0600pm
Ramadan Month 0800am-0400pm
What to expect?
You get 10 mins to view depending on the crowd.
